about
Hi, I am a textile and fashion designer with a focus on sustainability and circularity, currently living and working in my hometown Berlin. More recently, I graduated with a MA in Conceptual Textile Design from Burg Giebichenstein University of Arts and Design in Halle, and previously received a BA from their Fashion Design program.
My work is centered around ecological, circular and fair practices in the textile and fashion industry. One emphasis lies on textiles that are separable for recycling and on developing weaves that enable mechanical separation processes without the use of chemicals.
Materials are another passion of mine, manifested in my MA thesis, in which I investigate the role of ecological aesthetics of materials, explore the change of its perception and discover how stereotypical eco aesthetics are being used to communicate products as “sustainable”. Furthermore I specialize in ecological materials by compiling and curating a collection of eco-friendly, undyed fibres and yarns. Please get in touch if you are interested in a cooperation or if you have any questions about my work.
